No-sew Blankets for Ronald McDonald House

Families at Orange County Ronald McDonald House Treated to Hawaiian-Themed Breakfast

No-sew Blankets for Ronald McDonald House A group of partners and staff from the Orange County office recently prepared breakfast for 25 families staying at Ronald McDonald House in Orange. The Ronald McDonald House is adjacent to Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Ronald McDonald House’s goal is to provide resources and stability for families with sick children to lessen the emotional toll and financial strain on these families. They provide a comfortable, supportive and affordable “home away from home” for the families shouldering the burdens associated with a child being treated. Allen Matkins hosted a Hawaiian-themed breakfast offering macadamia, blueberry and banana pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon and a variety of fresh fruits. We transformed the dining room into a faraway place and presented each family with a Hawaiian lei. Allen Matkins also had a team building event in the office the month prior, making 25 no-sew flannel tie blankets for each child. We presented those blankets to the families during breakfast.
