Allen Matkins Hosts “Big for a Day” with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County

On a Saturday, October 5, 2013, a group from the Orange County office of Allen Matkins participated in “Big for a Day,” a unique program sponsored by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County (BBBS OC).  For the “Big for a Day” event, a group of attorney and staff volunteers spent the day with 14 boys and girls that are currently on the agency’s waiting list to be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister.  During the event, Allen Matkins volunteers were matched up with the children, and the group had a fun-filled day at Boomers, where they went on rides, played laser tag and miniature golf, and created great memories all around.  BBBS OC is part of a national organization that provides mentors to children facing adversity in the Orange County community.  The agency’s mission is to help these children by providing them with strong and enduring, professionally-supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better.
